Unlike traditional tattoos, the micropigmentation technique used at Camara Lopes Clinic does not penetrate deep into the skin. As a result, the effects gradually fade over time, typically lasting between 15 and 30 months. The pigments blend seamlessly with existing hair, offering a temporary yet highly natural visual enhancement without long-term skin alteration.
We believe that permanent tattooing is not suitable for the scalp, especially since natural hair tends to turn gray with age. For this reason, we exclusively offer non-permanent SMP to allow for natural aging and future style changes — your scalp can evolve as your hair does.

Scalp micropigmentation is frequently used to conceal scarring from previous strip surgeries (FUT) or poorly executed FUE procedures. By blending pigment into scar tissue, it visually reduces contrast and restores aesthetic balance to the scalp.
This is often combined with corrective FUE transplantation for comprehensive scar treatment — the transplant restores actual hair growth in viable scar zones, and SMP fills in the visual contrast everywhere else.
